– heading to the Climbing NZ National Youth Boulder Champs 30th October?
 
We’re collaborating with Harbour Sport, professional coaches & climbing coaches to host a training camp for youth who are new to comp climbing or already experienced. The camp will be focused on general preparation for climbers in the lead up to National Youth Champs.
 
We’re creating the opportunity for our keen competition climbers to come together, project together and challenge each other, learn new skills and build on existing skills, remind ourselves what is involved with a national event and prepare mentally and physically for the challenge.
 
The camp will run over two days, and involve a combination of climbing and workshops, covering:
 
Wednesday 13th Oct 9am – 4pm
Thursday 14th Oct 8:30am – 4pm
 
Camp workshops covering:
*Competition climbing simulation
*Isolation preparation
*Competition strategy, rules & guidelines
*Climbing movement & projecting
*Climbing performance & tactics
*Injury prevention & physio rehab
*Nutrition
*Fun & climbing games!
Open to all climbers Youth D (under 12yrs) to Junior (under 20 yrs)
Parents of youth climbers welcome and encouraged to attend.
