We’re Rethinking Yoga

We’re currently refreshing and reimagining our yoga offering at Northern Rocks. While there are no yoga classes on the schedule right now, we still encourage members to make yoga part of their climbing, training, and recovery routine.

In the meantime, yoga mats and blocks are available for free use on the mezzanine, giving you the space to stretch, move, and unwind at your own pace. Stay tuned for updates as we explore new ways to bring yoga back to the Northern Rocks community.

Breathe, move, and recharge with our dedicated yoga program at Northern Rocks. Whether you’re a climber looking to boost flexibility and recovery or someone simply seeking a mindful movement practice, our classes are designed to meet you where you’re at.

We offer a variety of yoga styles to suit every body and every schedule—from energizing Vinyasa flows to deep, restorative stretches that reset the nervous system. No experience needed. Just bring yourself, we have yoga mats and blocks available although you’re welcome to bring your own.

Yoga and Climbing?

Yoga and bouldering go hand-in-hand. Yoga helps climbers improve balance, body awareness, and injury resilience—all while dialing in mental focus and relaxation. Even if you’re not climbing, it’s a great way to stretch, move, and feel good.

Our friendly instructors create a supportive, inclusive space where you can build strength, improve mobility, and connect to breath—helping you feel grounded and strong both on and off the climbing wall.

Holistic
Elemental Yoga

20190428 NR SocialComp 0018

Thursday – 7:00 pm

Rooted in the Hatha tradition and inspired by our natural surroundings, the aim of this class is to move into shapes that will allow us to become aware and connect to the 5 natural elements around and in us at all times: air, fire, earth, ether and water.

A yoga practice which will bring a general sense of balance thanks to the co-creation of the outside and the inside worlds. The practice will end with conscious breathing and meditation or relaxation.

In the same way, you learn so much that you are sure that being a teacher is the same as being a forever student. You just never stop learning!”
